Digital Parenthood Conference organized for the first time in Kosovo

The conference for parents, DIGITAL PARENTHOOD, which was held for the first time by the Digital School in Prishtina, brought together parents, educators, psychologists and experts to discuss various topics from the field of cybersecurity, social media, games and cyberbullying, very necessary for parenting in the digital age.

This conference is intended to be organized in the coming years to help parents in raising awareness of the risks and managing the virtual world we encounter today.

The opening of this very important event was made by Hana Qerimi, who, among other things, said that our mission is not necessarily for every child to become a programmer, but for each of them to have technical skills.

Among the special guests in the panels on the relevant topics, there were experts in the fields who shared their experiences and advice with us, also answering questions from the audience at the end of each panel. Some of the key messages they conveyed:

Cyber ​​Security Panel Blerton Abazi suggested monitoring children's online content and ensuring online independence. Fadil Abdyli emphasized the importance of mechanisms developed by the police to combat cybercrime and appealed for monitoring children online.

Social Media Panel Valon Canhasi emphasized that the best way to protect children online is to monitor and talk to them about the risks. Drilon Jaha emphasized the need for more conferences for parents to raise awareness. Lumnije Telaku spoke about the psychological impact of social media on children's self-esteem.

Gaming Panel Natyra Agani emphasized that games are an integral part of children's development. Darsej Rizaj emphasized the importance of distinguishing between games with limited access and uncontrolled games.

Online Monitoring Apps Darsej Rizaj shared several apps for monitoring children's online activities and demonstrated their use.
