Shkolla Digjitale is shaping the next generations of talented girls in technology

Encouraging girls' participation in technology through Shkolla Digjitale
At a time when technology is one of the greatest and most stimulating challenges of our time, the role of girls in this field is fortunately on the rise. This year, during the global week of girls in technology, the focus was on 'Leadership' as the next motto.
For Girls' Day in ICT, at Shkolla Digjitale in Pristina, we welcomed over 100 students to appreciate and motivate all girls in their orientation in the field of technology, as well as to discuss success stories that could inspire them.
The director of Shkolla Digjitale, Hana Qerimi, held an interactive Q&A session with our students, informing them about the opportunities of their future in this profession.
This global week was also joined by the franchises of Shkolla Digjitale, which organized various events for the students, motivating them.

Since its establishment, Shkolla Digjitale has always been a great and important support for girls who want to build a career in this field. By offering an encouraging environment, Shkolla Digjitale, with all its franchises in Kosovo and worldwide, has made it possible for girls to become skilled in technology and prepare for their future in the job market.
By promoting gender equality, over the years, the participation of females in the staff and the number of students at Shkolla Digjitale has increased, with female staff participation above 56%, and the number of students around 30%. This growth demonstrates their strength and potential in the field of technology, where girls continuously show results and numerous successes in this direction.

The team of girls from Shkolla Digjitale in Pristina, during this week, won first place in the 11-hour coding competition MiketxWiSTEM hackathon, with their project ‘Empower Her’, which aims to empower the community of girls for personal and professional development.
In addition to first place, the students of Shkolla Digjitale also won two other special awards, ‘The most Diligent Coder’ and ‘The most Innovative Coder’, proving their skills among other competitors in the race.
The teenage girls at our school have created creative and functional programs, which challenge even the professional projects of local and international technology companies, including real projects for clients.
